ABOUT MEL KLINE DESIGN
They/them
I graduated from Walsh University as a Graphic Design and English major and Music and Art minor. I also studied as a member of the Blouin Global Scholars (2014-2018) program which required coursework and international travel experiences to study global issues, their impact, and problem-solving methods. My cohort and I studied Genocide, Peace, Reconciliation, and the Refugee Crisis with a multidisciplinary approach. I traveled to Uganda for two weeks and throughout Europe over weeks. During these experiences, I had the opportunity to speak to representatives from UNHCR, CARITAS, the ICC, refugees, local organizations, and a variety of professionals about their global and local roles in restoring peace.
SInce then I have worked with numerous GLOBAL AND LOCAL nonprofit and policy organizations, creatING designs AND wrITING blogs and social Media content addressing A VARIETY OF topics. SOME OF THESE INCLUDED Tech Policy, human trAFFICKING, SEXUAL VIOLENCE, THE REFUGEE CRISIS, CHILDREN'S RIGHTS. AND INTERNATIONAL AID. I LOVE POLITICS AND ADVOCACY, BUT IN MY SPARE TIME I FIND PEACE WRITING, READING, HIKING, AND CLIMBING.
I also enjoy sketching and designing in my free time. Keep up to date with my mini projects on Instagram.
